VogelAudio is the home of Andy Vogel

I am a London based Broadcast Engineer. This website is a showcase of my work within the broadcasting and audio industry. I attended the Audio Recording and Production BSc programme at the University of Hertfordshire and on completion gained a first class honours degree. There I expanded my skills within Audio Editing, Live to Air Broadcast, Music Composition, Media Programming, Live Sound, Location Recording and Music Technology.

In my first year at the University of Hertfordshire, I became the Music Manager of the two on-site radio stations Crush Radio and Crush Underground (Now Trident Media Radio.) During this time I overviewed audio content for them both, liaising with PR companies and unsigned artists for the music to be broadcast on air. At the end of the year, I was nominated and won the best newcomer at Trident Media.

In 2016, whilst still studying, I was invited to attend an airing of the BBC Introducing with Gareth Lloyd on BBC Three Counties Radio, a Saturday night show which presents new and unsigned music from Beds, Herts and Bucks. While there I was invited back to assist with social media while the show aired and as the months went on this changed to helping produce a live music segment of the show, during which I set up and engineered artists live during the airing of the show.

Since this I have worked on a freelance basis for the BBC as a Broadcast Assistant working on shows such as the Regional Show with Justin Dealey and Edward Adoo Covers The John Leech Soul Show which both broadcast across BBC Radio Northampton, BBC Radio Kent, BBC Radio Norfolk, BBC Radio Suffolk, BBC Essex, BBC Radio Cambridge and BBC Three Counties Radio.

As of June of 2018 I was hired by Global Radio as a Broadcast Engineer at its Essex based broadcast centre which is home to Heart and Smooth Essex. I have also provided cover at Globals Leicester Sqaure HQ home to Capital FM, Capital Xtra, Heart, Smooth Radio, Gold, Classic FM, LBC and Radio X. I have also worked on major events and outside broadcasts such as Capitals Jingle Bell Ball and The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X.
